The Community
Mature Davidson neighborhood near the greenway with classic brick homes.
History
Runneymede was developed in the late 1980s as one of Davidson's first true brick-traditional neighborhoods. The plat was small — under sixty homes — organized along a single oak-lined corridor leading to a quiet cul-de-sac near the greenway. Original buyers were Davidson College faculty, area physicians, and Charlotte commuters who wanted a quiet, established town within striking distance of the city.
Lifestyle
Life in Runneymede moves at Davidson pace: morning walks on the greenway, lunch on Main Street, evening glasses of wine on the back porch. The community is multigenerational — many original buyers still live here, and second-generation residents have bought homes a few doors down.
Architecture
Brick traditional and Georgian-influenced homes, 2,800–4,800 sq ft on quarter- to half-acre lots. Common features: full brick exteriors, traditional millwork, mature landscaping, and side-entry garages.
