Windemere

History

Windemere was established in the early 2000s on a quiet, deep-water cove in Sherrills Ford — one of the last undeveloped pockets of deep shoreline before the lake gives way to the Catawba River. The original plat called for just thirty estate homesites on multi-acre wooded lots, each with direct waterfront and private dock rights, on a site selected for its sheltered water, mature hardwood canopy, and long western-sunset views across the main channel.

Lifestyle

Life at Windemere moves at an estate pace: morning coffee on the covered dock, afternoon rides on the pontoon to a lakeside restaurant, and evening gatherings around the outdoor fireplace while the sunset paints the western sky.
