History

Carved from a sprawling Mooresville peninsula and opened in the early 2000s, The Point assembled what is widely considered Lake Norman's deepest concentration of trophy waterfront estates. The Greg Norman–designed championship golf course (now Trump National Lake Norman) routes through stands of hardwoods, around protected coves, and along some of the longest unbroken stretches of private shoreline on the lake.

Lifestyle

Long mornings on the practice tee, lunch on the clubhouse terrace overlooking the 18th, afternoons by tender to the Yacht Club's deep-water marina, and evenings hosted in stone-clad estates with double-slip covered boathouses. The cadence here is unmistakably big-water and big-house.

Architecture

Stone-and-shingle showpieces, French Country chateaux, Georgian brick, and a small but growing collection of contemporary lake-modern estates. Lots range from interior fairway parcels to long-shoreline waterfront with private double-slip boathouses.
